Feeling limited when performing tasks
MS symptoms and you
There’s so much more to your symptoms than people know
What others may not realize is that multiple sclerosis (MS) symptoms can impact your life in a variety of ways. You may be able to relate to one or more of these challenges:
Having to reduce daily work activities
Feeling fatigued or exhausted, whether you’ve had rest or not
Having difficulty with daily activities, such as work, household tasks, caring for children, and leisure
Having emotional or financial strain
Understanding your hidden symptoms
You may experience hidden symptoms you can’t see that make you feel different from the way you appear on the outside. These hidden symptoms include fatigue, memory loss and difficulty thinking, bladder and bowel problems, pain, sexual problems, sensory dysfunction such as numbness or tingling, and vision changes/issues. While these symptoms may not be obvious on the outside, they can impact the way you manage daily tasks and interact with others.
I think of exhaustion, struggle, and pushing myself.
I feel bad when I miss an activity, like I’m disappointing people.
I don’t really look ill, and that’s really the worst part about this.
Quotes were collected from real people with MS.

Keep in mind, the hidden symptoms of MS are just as important to how you feel as the visible symptoms. Be open about all of your symptoms with your healthcare professional and/or family and friends so that they can offer you support.
